Now that school has started, we are all trying to figure out our morning routines. ☕🥱
Getting yourself, the kids, the pets, and the husband ready can make the morning a sad and stressful event!🤪
When you get home at night, you’re left with the aftermath. 🌪️🌪️🌪️
So you to sit in that recliner trying to decide…should I relax, or should I clean…and who needs that stress?
Want to get off the hamster wheel? It’s not as hard or as time consuming as you might think.
All you need is ten minutes in the morning to shift your day for the better.
Now hear me out…if you are serious about getting organized whether it’s your time or your stuff, you have to decide to make some serious changes…
they don’t have to be hard changes, just intentional.
Being intentional in your mind about your routines, is the first step to getting that calmness you are desiring in your life.
Check out the list below to get some ideas on how to start this simple, but intentional process.
The 10 Minute Morning Routine
- Once you have your little peepers open 👀 and have made the decision you MUST get out of bed…do your routine self care (ya know the whole bossy bladder thing) and then make sure you make your bed. This will make the end of the night more restful.
- Take a minute to pick up anything that was left on the counters while the coffee is a brewin’. Or you can even do this task at the end of the day to save time in the mornings.
- If you ran the dishwasher last night, go ahead and put the dishes away. It makes for a quicker clean up later while you are cooking dinner. It’s nice to know there are clean dishes to cook with.
- If you notice clutter in any of the main living spaces, take the time to put things away. Even if that means chucking it into the room they belong in🤣. Honestly though if it only takes you 2 seconds to put it into the right spot…be kind to your future self and just do it!
The ultimate goal of this ten minute tidy routine ??
It allows you to reset your home so when you return from all of the worlds chaos you can find peace and calm… isn’t that what we are looking for? 😌🌻😌🌼😌
Does this feel overwhelming? You can always break it down into chunks and build the tasks into your morning routine over time.
Let me know what you think about this process. Do you do something different you would like to share?
And hey…sweet friend? If you or someone you know is at a place where overwhelm has become a real thing (whether your time or stuff) I’ve gotcha covered.
